Injuries are an inevitable part of training, and having the ability to tend to them quickly makes a drastic change in the overall outcome of the situation. All American Yoshinkan black belts must be CPR and First Aid certified at minimum, with higher ranking students learning various healing modalities such as:
- Anma - Massage
- Shiatsu - Acupressure
- Sekkotsu - Bone setting
- Kiko - Breathing/meditation
- Te Ate - Hands-on healing
